Before your surgery, your surgeon will explain everything you need to prepare, so that you can plan ahead. It is common to:
• Refrain from eating or drinking after midnight, the day before surgery
• Wear comfortable clothing
• To be accompanied by a relative or close friend - you most likely will be unable to operate a vehicle that day
Recovery times vary dependent on the type of surgery and anesthesia you underwent as well as your natural recovery abilities. It is most likely that you will be able to go home between one to two hours following your surgery.
If you have questions regarding your coverage, staff at the surgery center and your physician's office can help you. Regarding your specific benefits, please contact your insurance carrier.
Accreditation puts emphasis on the safety of patients to ensure quality. The Lompoc Surgery Center is fully accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (Quad A).
