Biography

Dr. Goodman is a board-certified ophthalmologist in private practice in Lompoc, Santa Maria, and San Luis Obispo California. He specializes in refractive surgery, including laser vision correction, LASIK, cataract, and lens implant surgery.

As a comprehensive ophthalmologist, he also performs eyelid surgery, cornea, glaucoma surgeries. Dr. Goodman has practiced on the Central Coast since 2005. Prior to that, he spent nine years as an Air Force officer. He served as the Chief of Ophthalmology at the United States Air Force and Veteran's hospital in Las Vegas for three years after completing his ophthalmology residency at Wilford Hall Air Force Medical Center and Brooke Army Medical Center in Texas.

Before becoming an eye surgeon, he served two years as an Air Force flight surgeon after receiving his MD degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine, Loma Linda, California.

Dr. Goodman is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and has authored two ophthalmology textbooks and numerous journal articles, book chapters, and scientific abstracts, and serves as an editorial reviewer for two medical publishers. He has won many accolades for his writing, teaching and research, and was awarded the prestigious Air Force Aerial Achievement Medal and the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. Dr Goodman also received the very prestigious 2021 SEE International Humanitarian Award for his service and dedication to our local communities.

Active in his church, Dr. Goodman has also participated in many surgical mission trips to Fiji, Mexico, Honduras, and Nicaragua. He serves on the Board of Directors for Surgical Eye Expeditions International in Santa Barbara. Dr. Goodman and his wife, a local family practice physician, enjoy traveling, hiking, and spending time together with their daughter and son.

Biography

Dr. Goldstein is an ophthalmologist who is in private practice in Lompoc and Santa Maria, California. As a comprehensive ophthalmologist he specializes in cataract surgery, performs pterygium, eyelid and glaucoma surgeries.

Dr. Goldstein received his undergraduate education from California State University, Northridge and the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York. He received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Iowa where he was elected to the Alpha Omega honor society and graduated with a distinction in research. Dr. Goldstein stayed at the University of Iowa to complete an internship in internal medicine and residency in ophthalmology.

Dr. Goldstein enjoys spending time with his family and exploring new things to do on the Central Coast, which includes finding new coffee shops. On the weekends he enjoys grilling and watching college football games.

Biography

In 1994 Dr. Rahim Raoufi, MD graduated from Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, one of the most prestigious and competitive schools in Iran.

After finishing his Family Practice residency at East Tennessee State University, he decided to enter the Internal Medicine residency program at University of California San Francisco, Fresno. Dr. Raoufi was awarded Outstanding Resident Teacher of the Year by the Dean and his peers where he pursued his Gastroenterology and Hepatology fellowship. He served as Chief Fellow during second and third year of his fellowship.

With the support of his lovely wife, Shokoofeh, along with their two children Sherwin and Shiley, Dr. Raoufi began his practice in Lompoc in 2012 after deciding to relocate to the central coast.
